Truly Scrumptious - How does your garden grow?

>> Wednesday, 7 July 2010

It's time for another Truly Scrumptious challenge and this week we are sponsored by the lovely Christine Dark (Sketching Stamper) who is offering 5 digi stamps to our winner.

This is the sketch we have for you this time

And the optional theme is 'How does your garden grow'.

I've used one of my all time favourites for this card. I love these Sarah Kay images, they are so much fun to colour. I've used my usual distress inks and a pale blue Tombow pen for the background. The trellis has been made using a Martha Stewart deep edge punch. I then painted the strips with Antique Linen crackle paint, threaded through some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and added some punched flowers as well. The patterned paper (which is pretty well hidden!) is from Fancy Pants and I also used a lovely fabric paper that I picked up at a craft show recently but most of that is hidden as well!!

I do hope you will be able to join in our challenge. We are also looking for two new DT members to join the Truly Scrumptious team. All the details are on the blog.

Hi Sharon,
Your card is stunning. Beautiful image and colouring and the way you have used the punched border as a trellis is fantastic. Gorgeous.

Gorgeous card Sharon, fabulous colours and one of my favourite SK's as well. I very nearly used this one amd very nearly did a trellis as well, thank goodness I didn't!! Great minds think alike (or should it be fools seldom differ lol). Your colouring of Rose is awesome and such beautiful details.
