Lovely New Rubbah!

>> Friday 6 November 2009

I haven’t ordered any crafting goodies for AGES so I was very excited when a packet from Crafts U Love landed on my doorstep yesterday. Inside was my gorgeous new Christmas Magnolia stamp which I inked up immediately. She’s coloured with distress inks and I’ve used some Stickles for a bit of Christmas sparkle. My papers are a mixture of Imaginisce and Scribble Scrabble and I've distressed them just a little bit!

I’ve made an easel card (is this the right name?) and added my sentiment using Quickutz Marisa alphabet. The snowflakes with silver brad centres help to keep the card upright.

I’m going to enter this card into three challenges:

Roses on Paper – Christmas card

Magnolia Down Under / Just Magnolia - Distressing

JM3

We’ve got a busy weekend ahead. Thomas will be two next Tuesday so we’re having a small family party for him on Sunday. I’ll be spending most of tomorrow making cheese straws, M&M cookies and baking 2 birthday cakes; one for Sunday and one to take to nursery on Tuesday. Have a great weekend everyone.

Beautiful card, your colouring is fantastic. Think I might have a go with distress inks, I love the softness they achieve. I can't wait until the new Tildas are in stock at my local craft shop.
Have a great weekend & party

This is such a tease! I am still waiting on my order from Magnolia!
You have done such a gorgeous job on this! I love it! I'm really liking the distress inks! I am thinking of making the plundge into distressed inks. Any colours you can suggest to start with that are your favourites!
