Truly Scrumptious Challenge

>> Wednesday, 11 November 2009

It’s time for another Truly Scrumptious challenge and this week we have a lovely sketch by DT member Dawn with the added challenge of adding some texture to your card.

I had a few ideas for this card but when I tried them out they didn’t look nearly as good in real life as they did in my head!  After trying to use ribbons and strips of embossed card I settled on this design.

TS1

Janet from Pink Gem Designs is sponsoring our challenge this week and this image is one of her designs.  He is coloured with distress inks.  For my texture I embossed the glitter card with the Cuttlebug snowflake folder and wrapped some silver thread around the paper which is threaded with beads.  The card is finished off with a Sizzix snowflake and a Cuttlebug corner.

The rest of the DT have made some fabulous creations so we hope you will be able to us for our latest challenge.

Hi Sharon.

Love those soft blues, and what a good idea using beads. Love it.

Just gorgeous Sharon - love the colours you've used and Janet's adorable image. What a fabulous idea threading the beads onto the silver thread for texture.
