Truly Scrumptious - Brads Buttons & Bows

>> Wednesday, 18 August 2010

Hi everyone, I hope you are well and having a good week far. It's Wednesday so we're almost halfway to the weekend. We have a new challenge for you over on the Truly Scrumptious blog. There is a sketch for you to use

and the optional extra challenge is brads, buttons & bows; choose one, two or all three!

This challenge is sponsored by Sew Many Cards and some of the DT have used their images on their cards. I chose this gorgeous Tayla Baby in Tree and decided to make a new baby card.

I've had a lot of trouble colouring digi images recently. For some reason the ink has been bleeding which is really annoying and means I wasn't able to colour this gorgeous image as well as I would have liked. The DP is Bo Bunny and I've used some gingham fabric which I've had in my stash for ages and ages. I frayed the ages as my cutting wasn't very straight! I very nearly forgot the optional challenge (again) but remember just in time to add some button brads so two out of three isn't bad!

I hope you will be able to join in our challenge this time.

Hi Sharon,
An other amazin card. This little puppy is just too cute. Love the colours and the colouring looks perfect. Can't see any bleeding.
I never tried to use digi stamps because I was apprehending that distress wouldn't work with digi stamps. But maybe I should give it a try.
Wishing you a great day.
Hugs

Hi Sharon, this is gorgeous, that little Taylor is so cute and brilliant colouring. (Oooh, while I remember - I've a mixture of pads and re-inkers, you can definitely get more depth of colour with re-inkers)
Fab papers and gret details, love the little safety pin.
hugs Heather xx

I love the stitching and the gingham and I think the fraying is great! Isn't it cute the way the little animal (puppy?kitten?!!) has a heart for a nose!
